Good analysis by Run.the.Pipes. Agree interesting year and 3 team race. Barlow could have 5 champs at 106, 113, 120, 145 & 182. New Milford could have 4 106, 113, 120 & 126. Newtown has lots of depth and could win it at 132, 138, 152, 160 and Heavy if everything broke right but odds are they only get 2 out those 5. The lower weight battles between NM & Barlow will be key.
Sorry RtP for the flip response. Was kinda funny when I was writing it though :)
Truthfully it should come down to Newtown and Barlow. Barlow has the most clear favorites, whereas Newtown will have competition at most of their strong weights (132/138/152/160) I'd never count out New Milford, and New Fairfield has some guys who will compete for championships if they're healthy. Lightweights should skew towards Barlow, middleweights to Newtown, it may come down to what team has the best production from their heavies, with Zeller being the only real favorite from 195-285.
The team race will be interesting with New Milford having such a down year. I think Newtown brings the most depth to the tournament and could win it with 1 or two champs. Joe Barlow has 2, maybe 3 champs and could place highly if the rest of the team gets on the podium. Overall there are a few teams in the hunt with the field being as mediocre as it is.
