Biggest surprise from Danbury Holiday Tourney was at 182. A freshman from Norwalk ran the table. B. Gilchrist pinned Morrell from New Milford, MD'd Jones of Danbury, then dec'd Lozada of Newington. Class LL has a new guy to think about in 182. He's undefeated on the season and state/NE champion from junior high. https://www.flowrestling.org/athletes/201c346c-6690-4516-9f29-3245062ba169/results
FCIAC 285 contenders went 1,2,3 with Agosto and Rizy delivering a great show at the end. Agosto 1 (Danbury), Rizy 2 (Staples), Ben Clay 3 (New Canaan L). The 4th place was the Danbury JV Phoung who moves a lot like Agosto, should step in next year nicely.

You can’t rule out Matt Ryan from Trumbull either. He looks great this year , more physical, and aggressive than last year.

@Innocent Bystander couldn’t agree more! I tried about a week ago in general forum but no takers. I think heavy weight is shaping up to be eventful for post season. I’m normally not a big fan , but this year is looking good so far.

When are the LL standings going to be updated?

There are 3 Gilchrist brothers who wrestle for Norwalk. Ryan is wrestling 152. Connor is wrestling 160, and Brendan is wrestling 182 (though he wrestled 195 at the Shelton invitational before the +2 and won the tourney--he won Danbury Holiday at 182). The LL Ranks show a "Brandon Gilchrist" at 160 with a win over Tyrell Jones (Danbury). That match happened at the Danbury Holiday tournament except it was at 182 and it was Brendan Gilchrist. The weight class changes are crazy this year, so I wish you well at keeping up. There is no guarantee that the Gilchrist brothers won't move around again.

Summers of Warde beat Brendan Gilchrist of Norwalk 9-5 at the Warde Invitational last Saturday (1/4/2020). Also, the results on Flo are wrong for Brendan Gilchrist, he only lost to Summers of Warde, did not wrestle Vogt

Longo is at 106 not 113 , and Warde has a 113 freshman named Lucas Coleman who just won the FW tourney this past weekend. He was a National level youth wrestler but took a year off last year. He should be right under O’dell I think as of now.

Drew took 2nd at Lowell, won at Wethersfield and beat gorr of southington pretty handily last night. He will be tough to beat this year at 120

Jacob Pressler from Fairfield Ludlow was ranked 5th in the L Class but then got moved to LL and didn't make the ranking list. He lost a decision to Lucas Coleman (Ranked 4th) at the Warde tournmennt and beat Oliver D'Anna of Staples (Ranked 5th) twice. I think he should be ranked 5th/6th?

Jack Ryan beat Obrien last year twice and deserves respect. He will win LL at 132 above Lucas. Sorry Danbury but 132 will go to Trumbull at 132 .IMO Lucas doesn’t stand a chance against Jack Ryan.

He's only had a few matches (I could only find 5)--all wins by fall--at 170 this year. He had a dual last week with Danbury, so we might have seen a good measure of him with Hawkins, but Danbury dodged the match (sent the JV kid) to avoid the loss. He should definitely be toward the top of the board.
