    Class L Rankings

    in Ranking Changes | Updates

I will be helping with the Class L rankings this year. I have updated the rankings as I see them as of the first week (through the weekend). Fortunately, all Class L schools wrestled in a tournament this weekend (most notably the Battle at Wethersfield (Simsbury, Maloney, Daniel Hand, Middletown, New Milford, and Wethersfield). I pretty strictly used weights wrestled at the last weekends tournaments for the placing the kids in the rankings. I know the 2 pound allowance kicks in next week and some will move around after that, but I generally find that tournament weights are more indicative of where the kids will wrestle in the post season than dual meet weights (where coaches often move kids around based on matchups to try to win the dual). A couple of guys did not wrestle this weekend and I know their weights will be higher (Max Commander at 132, his prior year weight, I'm sure he's higher this year). Any weight insights are appreciated and I will try to take them into consideration.

Now, tell me where i screwed up :). I'll try to do better each week. Expect updates each Monday (Tuesday at the latest). Thanks for any feedback.

Loria from Xavier is down to 115, he will be in the mix for sure. 122 would have been much harder to crack.

Looks pretty solid. Rapuano likely at 108.

You did a really good job on that. In 2 weeks I would expect it to change a bit. Cyr looks like he will be 115, and Powell-Keyton 122.
