Xavier's annual tournament this weekend should be full of action: 6 of the top 10 teams attending (Simsbury, Warde, Bristol Eastern, Xavier, Killingly, Trumbull). Some great matchups in 106 (Thompson, Brault, Longo(?), 120 (Rapuano, Currier), 145 (Pera, Ebert, and Lunt). Any others I missed?

Hahaha exactly! Milk and eggs, milk and eggs! Everyone go out and stock up like a doomsday preper for 1-3 inches of snow lol
Just saw a post on Twitter, tourney is on as scheduled but they moved the start time up to 8:30 so they can end earlier. I believe it was supposed to start at 9:30. Trying to beat the snow.
Just got a message from the school that all activities tomorrow will end at 2:00. Don‘t know how this will effect the tournament. Need to leave by 2 or be back at school by 2 which is an hour away is a big play here. Wonder what mass and Rhode Island will do
New Milford Wrestling Tournament is cancelled.
Who’s planning on attending this one? I personally can’t wait haha
This one will, but it looks like the weather won't get here til the afternoon so guessing it will go off as scheduled.
Will this tournament and the New Milford Tourney get postponed until Sunday if snows too much tomorrow?

seems about right
Nope , that’s not it lol.
I would bet more points for a major over a decision and same follows suit for a tech or a pin in the finals. Rapuano had already won 3 matches in his pool to get to the finals , as did Longo,Thompson, and Charron. Those were just the finals matches I pasted. I can go through it tomorrow more to see if we can figure it out. I dont have it in me to ight to do that lol. Off the top of my head I would guess +10 for making the finals then goes to dual match format based on points so two majors is +8 +10 =+18. So first 3 matches are pool matches say you get 3 pins and then go to finals and have 2 more pins. It would be +18 for matches, +10 for making it to finals, and +12 for finals. I think lol
Need a key to understand the scoring. Are there bonus points for they type of win? It seems like Rapuano is given 6 pts for 2 wins then 18 bonus for winning finals? Loria gets 4 pts for 2 wins right after?
Fallon at 126.
Honestly, I see this is being a tougher tournament from a depth perspective than any of the class tournaments. Is there a big point boost for making the finals bracket?
106 is freaking stacked lol. Thompson,Brault,Longo, Aiden Zabbo, and I’m guessing Cam Soda. Then throw C Finn or R Finn in. I don’t know Ware, it doesn’t look like he’s wrestled anyone in the rankings yet. 113 is going to be another awesome one to watch. Does anyone know if Andrew Fallon is still at BH? Maybe he’s injured. @Run.the.Pipes do you know anything about this?
Ya have to respect the level of competition Xavier seeks over the year. The way I understand it the pools are essentially QF feed ins. Every year I've looked at it there are multiple 1's in each of the pools designed to funnel to a semi final bracket essentially.
And this is how they score
If it’s run the same way as it was in past years they do a 4 pool of 4 format at each bracket to start. Then the 4 #1s will cross bracket against another #1 then the winners of those two matches wrestle for 1st and 2nd and the two losers wrestle for 3/4 so depending on the brackets it could easily make some kids have a easier or tougher road. these were the 4 #1s in their initial Pools.
I'd think you'd have to at least consider Barlow in the mix for top 5 after finishing 14th at Eastern States. Not sure how it's scored exactly, but you're going to need a number of scoring wrestlers from competitive brackets.
Warde, Simsbury Xavier, BH, BE
BH,Simsbury,Warde,Xavier,Burlington with a chance of Bristol Eastern or Trumbull pushing in there if things go well.
