Is there a minimum number of matches a student must have to wrestle at the state class tournaments? I ask as several kids on the ranked list do not appear to have any match results for the year. I know some are dealing with injuries, but can they come back for the state class tournament with no record?

Thanks, that's helpful. I guess Falbo starts with 14 bonus seeding points from winning out at last years state/regional tournaments, so even if he has no matches (or few) he will still have a high seed at the class LL tournament.
From CIAC tournament packet, "Determine season record percentage by forming a fraction whose denominator equals the number of season matches. If a wrestler has wrestled in less than twelve season matches the denominator cannot be less than twelve."
I'm pretty sure there's no minimum match requirement, but if you have less than 12, you add losses to you record until you reach 12 matches
Thanks, that's helpful. I am wondering of Anthony Falbo will be eligible for the state tournaments. I know he has a couple of matches, but, based on the language above, i am not sure he qualifies. I wonder if they would wave this requirement for special circumstances (injury)?
In the CIAC Tournament package:
http://content.ciacsports.com/tp/wrest1617.pdf
Minimum matches section, bottom of page 12, reads:
Report all matches won or lost with member schools. (NOTE: To qualify a team must have participated in a minimum of eight (8) varsity meets against CIAC member schools. Only the first two matches against the same opponent will be counted towards the minimum qualifying number of matches.) The last date to count for tournament qualification is February 9, 2017.
I get that it says "Team" and does not specify that an individual wrestler have that same minimum number, but it might be implied.
