Zach Johns won the CJ McCormack tourney at 113 and beat Lishness from Bristol Eastern and Vertefeuille from Windham. Also placed at the Chaves tourney at Simsbury at 113 And beat Pressler from Ludlowe. They are all ranked at 113 and all those matches were at 113 this year.
@Matratohboy I haven’t seen cyr this season as of yet, but he lost to the 2 of the 3 I mentioned last year at opens. Longo won 7-0 while Charon won 9-6. Those two are still going to be tough for him to beat in my opinion.
@sweep the leg! Possibly, but he has 2 wins over Finn, and was a Fargo champ in the off season. From what I can tell he has improved dramatically from last season. Not saying he will beat those two or Smith, but I feel very confident he could. Now the fun part is actually seeing how it all goes down :)
Pina huh? given the history between Longo and the Danbury boys it’s going to be tough for them to win that weight. I think D Charon should be moved up a lot in the 113 category. I haven’t seen him this season yet but he definitely looked tough in opens last year. Another change is Smart at 126 not 132. The rest looks pretty good for now.
At 106 O’Dell and Longo both have one loss each. Although they have wrestled a number of times in the last year and Longo has won every match. We will see that match soon enough.
@sweep the leg! Johns wrestled at Simsbury. Pinned Pressler in about 30 seconds and had a 16-0 decision over Baghdassarian. I would guess he weighed in between 116-118 when he had the dual match at 132.
@mophie it was to accept a forfeit at 132. Has he wrestled anyone good? A quick pin on pressler really doesn’t help much on seeing how tough he is. I’m not saying he’s not , just saying that doesn’t help much. Does he have Charon, Longo,Smith, or Cyr anytime soon?
does Sam make 120? I would take Ryan over Johnson but Sam can definitely be tough. Close either way you look at it. Chase and fields is going to be a great match! Palmieri lost a few yesterday let’s hope it just wasn’t his day and he gets back on track going forward.
FCIAC's are competitive. Curious what your take is, but you can go that way if you want. Funny how you complain about the lack of love for LL and then just troll instead of contributing.
Cyr beat Longo last night, 4-2, last night. That class will be fun to watch at Opens.
Your 4 and 5 from M's would be 1 and 2 in S or L, and probably 2 and 3 in LL. (Correction: 2 and 3 in L, Cyr wasn't up on the list I was looking at)
Smith beat charon 3-2, and Garcia from east haven is top 5. iagree there is a huge drop off after that

Jakari Walker not wrestling this year

At 120 Johnson and Ryan is a close one. Sam White should not be overlooked either. If I had to pick I would say White of the 3. Very close though.
Ill throw my opinion in the ring :
106 and 113 = longos
120 = leaning towards Ryan with real close second place matches.
126 = Jack - easy.
132 = toss up between Fields and Parrott cant call it.
138 = Going with Ryan if hes at 138. Schand will give him a tough match like last year.
145 = Roberts Unless Leblanc can handle the heavier weight this year.
152 = Mazur /Zuckerman too close to call.
160 = going with Vanase
170 = Walker
182= Palmieri
195=Calo/Gjinaj close
220=weiner/vechio
285= Heavy weights can allways surpise if someone gets stuck on their back but will go with Harrington.
Ohh he did wrestle 120 Mr Mophie! And my contribution? It’s to early to tell Mr Mophie.
Mr sweep ..I..
BTW...was just confirming Jack Ryan wrestled at 120 vs Bristol Eastern. It happened today. Was nothing more than a confirmation.
Mr mophie
Ohh and 113
Cause that’s a lock
I said jack at 120 and what weight does yo mama wrestle at?
Jack Ryan at 120. Curious what weight classes you think are locked up below 152 besides 126?
Absolutely agree! 126 is a no brainer. A few of the lower classes up to 145 as well as 182 in my opinion are locked up pretty easily.
1st place 126 is a lock. Then a dogfight after that. :)
